Job Overview Our growing dental practice is looking for an experienced and reliable dental assistant. The ideal candidate will be positive and energetic and capable of working in a fast paced, general dental practice. Our office hours are Monday- Thursday, 8:30 am- 5:00 pm. Our office is closed on Fridays. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of general dentistry procedures including crown and bridge, endo, composite fillings, extractions, implants. Take diagnostic dental radiographs , including Pano and CT. Manage patient records ensuring accuracy in documentation. Be nice and make patients feel comfortable throughout procedures to promote a positive experience. Maintain strict infection control standards by adhering to OSHA guidelines and ensuring all clinical areas are clean, organized, and ready for patient care. Requirements: VA x-ray certification is a must! Proven experience working in a general dental practice, minimum of 1 year chair side assisting experience required. Proficiency with dental software systems such as Open Dental Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners confidently. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental assisting roles. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients about procedures while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
