Dental Assistant - Smiles by Paul Olenyn DDS - Manassas, VA

Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures - Take and develop dental x-rays - Sterilize and maintain dental instruments - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history - Update and maintain patient medical records and documentation - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Perform dental laboratory procedures, such as pouring and trimming models Skills: - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - Proficiency in using dental software, such as CAD or Epic, for medical coding and documentation purposes - Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus - Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
