Pediatric Dental Hygienist (RDH) About Us: Darling Children’s Dentistry is a growing pediatric dental practice dedicated to creating a fun, caring, and high-quality dental experience for children and patients with special healthcare needs . We are looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) who enjoys working with kids and families and wants to play an important role in preventive care, education, and patient experience. Our office focuses heavily on prevention, education, and team-based care , and our hygienist is a key leader in helping families build lifelong oral health habits. What You'll Do: Perform prophylaxis and periodontal care for pediatric patients Take diagnostic radiographs and intraoral photographs Apply fluoride, sealants, and Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) Administer nitrous oxide and local anesthesia Provide oral hygiene and dietary education to children and parents Assist the dentist during procedures when needed Maintain accurate clinical notes and documentation Help lead preventive care protocols for the clinical team Participate in sedation/general anesthesia and teledentistry workflows as needed What Makes This Position Unique: Pediatric-focused practice with supportive team culture Opportunity to practice at the top of your RDH license Advanced procedures including nitrous oxide, SDF, sealants, and pediatric preventive care Structured 30-60-90 training program to ensure success and confidence Collaborative team with strong leadership and systems Qualifications: Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Iowa Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene Strong communication skills with children and parents Friendly, patient, and team-oriented personality Pediatric experience preferred but not required Compensation & Benefits: Competitive hourly pay based on experience Team bonus opportunities Supportive training and mentorship Continuing education opportunities Positive work culture with growth potential About Darling Children’s Dentistry We are passionate about providing high-quality pediatric dental care in a supportive, fun environment while helping families build healthy habits that last a lifetime.
