Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Take dental radiographs as needed while adhering to safety protocols. Provide education to patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Document medical histories, treatment plans, and patient progress accurately in the medical records system. Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure that all equipment is sterilized and maintained according to infection control standards. Support the front office with scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries as needed. Qualifications Knowledge of dental terminology and general dentistry practices is essential. Experience in dental assisting, particularly in pediatrics, is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with anatomy knowledge relevant to dental care. Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
