Registered Dental Hygienist - Saco River Dentistry - Buxton, ME

Saco River Dentistry is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our state-of-the-art dental practice. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans Take and develop dental imaging as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning Review and update dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed using aseptic techniques Document patient interactions accurately within Dentrix Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment in accordance with OSHA standards Skills: Proficiency with dental software including Dentrix Strong knowledge of dental terminology Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to all age groups Knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and sterilization protocols Ability to accurately review documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA Effective communication skills for patient education and team collaboration Compensation & Benefit Conditions: Compensation commensurate with experience Part-time positions are not benefit eligible Required: Valid Maine RDH License Radiology License BLS Certification (or be obtained within 60 days of hire date) Job Types: Part-time Work Location: In person Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist license (Required) Ability to Commute: Buxton, ME 04093 (Required) Work Location: In person
