Job Overview We are a pediatric dental office seeking an experienced dental assistant. Interested candidates must be dependable, energetic, friendly and team oriented. This position requires x-ray certification. The salary offered is negotiable and will be based on experience. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments Assist dentists during procedures by handing instruments, managing dental materials, and operating chairside equipment Take X-ray images Manage patient records efficiently using electronic medical record (Dentrix), Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and assisting with patient comfort throughout their visit. Collaborate with the team in four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow and reduce procedure times while maintaining high standards of care. Skills Experience with dental radiography (X-ray) techniques Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during various dental procedures Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.
