Patient Care Coordinator Join Us in our Our Brand-New Dental Office Weâre not just looking for someone to answer phones or schedule appointments, weâre looking for the person who sets the tone for our entire patient experience. Our new Patient Care Coordinator will be the friendly voice on the phone, the welcoming face at the front desk, and the guide who helps patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their dental journey. Weâre looking for someone who has worked in dentistry before for a minimum of 1 year. What Youâll Be Doing Your role is all about creating an exceptional experience for every patient who interacts with our office. Day-to-day responsibilities include: · Welcoming patients and managing check-in and check-out · Answering phones and communicating with patients via text, email, and phone · Scheduling and confirming appointments and keeping the doctor and hygiene schedules productive and full · Helping patients understand treatment plans and insurance coverage · Collecting and updating health history and insurance information · Processing patient payments and insurance payments · Sending insurance pre-estimates and referrals to other offices · Sending patient statements and monitoring accounts receivable · Keeping patient records accurate and organized · Helping maintain a clean, welcoming office environment · Supporting the team with tasks that help the practice run smoothly · Occasionally participating in team travel for continuing education or team-building events About every 6-7 weeks, you may also serve as the after-hours emergency contact in case a patient emergency requires coming into the office with the dentist, this is a rare event. Experience & Skills Required · High School Diploma or GED · Strong computer and communication skills · 1 year of dental experience, in any role in the office Preferred · Familiarity with dental insurance and treatment terminology · Experience with Open Dental software Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
