Overview We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to maintain optimal oral health for patients of all ages. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies. Assist with chairside procedures, including providing support during pediatric and general dentistry treatments. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, adhering to HIPAA regulations. Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe clinical environment. Skills Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and practices for treating young patients effectively. Experience with four-handed dentistry to optimize efficiency during procedures. Ability to monitor vital signs and interpret medical imaging results accurately. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control standards. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately. Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation review, and medical coding processes related to dental records.
