Registered Dental Hygienist - Todd Yerondopoulos, DDS - Pleasanton, CA

Located in our state-of-the-art facility, this role is designed for someone who cherishes improving patients' oral health and educating them on maintaining dental hygiene. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care while performing dental hygiene procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental systems and practices, as well as the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Our Dental Hygienists play a crucial role in promoting oral health and ensuring patient comfort during visits. Training in KOIS periodontal medicine is recommended but not required. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments, including scaling and polishing teeth. Conduct medical imaging as needed to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Review documentation and patient records to ensure accurate health histories. Monitor vital signs and assess patients' oral health status. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care. Assist with general dentistry procedures as required, providing support to the dental team. Utilize Eaglesoft software for patient management and record keeping. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice. Proficiency in medical imaging techniques related to dentistry. Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is preferred. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental health and hygiene practices. Strong skills in patient care, ensuring comfort and understanding during treatments. Familiarity with saliva testing and is a plus. Previous experience in dental assisting is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
