Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk/Treatment Planner to join our vibrant dental team. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression Manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software such as Open Dental Verify insurance coverage and benefits. Review patient medical records and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness Assist in treatment planning by explaining procedures, costs, and payment options clearly to patients Handle phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, multi-line systems, and timely follow-up Perform insurance verification, claim submission, and follow-up to optimize collections and reduce outstanding balances Maintain accurate dental records, medical billing documentation, and office files in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support medical administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Meditech Coordinate with dental providers regarding treatment plans and patient care instructions Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic or medical office environment is highly preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology Proficiency with dental practice management software such as OpenDental Experience in dental billing, coding, insurance verification, and Medicare/Medicaid processes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly under HIPAA guidelines Bilingual abilities are desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Demonstrated clerical skills including typing (10 key), filing, data entry, and Microsoft Office proficiency Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and care plan coordination Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism Join our team to make a meaningful impact on patientsâ lives by providing exceptional front desk support and treatment planning.
