Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Hillsborough, NJ
Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. Position is for 1 or 2 days per week with an opportunity to add more days. Office hours: Mon 9-3, Tue and Thur 11-6, Wed and Fri 7-2. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history reviews, and evaluating oral health status. Assist with dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow and patient comfort. Take and asses medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories -Dentrix software. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and ensure a sterile environment. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental clinic or office setting. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures. Strong understanding of infection control standards, sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately while providing compassionate service.
