Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental office! Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings and prophylaxis procedures on pediatric patients, ensuring comfort and safety throughout each visit Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review, to ensure safe treatment planning Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting patient care, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate young patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and dietary recommendations Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a sterile environment Skills Proficiency with dental software (Dentrix) for scheduling, documentation review, and record management Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles, dental terminology, anatomy relevant to children, and dental terminology Ability to perform radiographs on pediatric patients accurately while maintaining safety standards for children Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for efficient documentation and data management Knowledge of infection control practices, including sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques Excellent communication skills to effectively educate parents and collaborate with team members Hours Monday: 7-4 Tuesday: 7-4 Thursday: 7-4 Friday: 7-4 Join us to be part of a dynamic team committed to fostering healthy smiles in children!
