Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dental care, focusing on patient education and preventative care. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, as well as the ability to work effectively with both children and adults in a supportive environment. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventative care. Take and record medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant patient information. Utilize Dentrix software for managing patient records and scheduling appointments efficiently. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure optimal patient care. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic, adhering to infection control protocols. Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Keep accurate medical records and document all patient interactions in compliance with clinic policies. Qualifications Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice. Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required. Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental management systems is advantageous. Knowledge of dental assisting practices is a plus. Strong understanding of medical records management and dental terminology. Ability to take vital signs and perform basic assessments as needed. Excellent communication skills, with a compassionate approach towards patients. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality patient care.
