What does a dental assistant do? -prepare patient rooms for procedures throughout the day - infection control and sterilization procedures following strict protocols -seating and dismissing patients - assisting the doctor during all procedures (suctioning, passing instruments, tending to patient's needs throughout each appointment) -Charting procedures -Taking any necessary x-rays As you demonstrate mastery of these foundational skills, more advanced clinical responsibilities will be introduced.
