Job Overview This position is ideal for an experienced dental or orthodontic assistant who enjoys working in a well-organized specialty practice with a predictable schedule and strong patient relationships. A specialty dental practice focused on Dental Sleep Medicine and TMJ/Orofacial Pain treatment is seeking a detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team three days per week. Our office environment is very different from a traditional high-volume general dentistry practice. The pace and workflow are more similar to an orthodontic specialty office , with an emphasis on patient education, appliance therapy, and follow-up care rather than routine restorative procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with patients, learning specialized treatment, and being part of a calm, highly organized clinical environment. Responsibilities Responsibilities include assisting with oral appliance therapy, TMJ and orofacial pain evaluations, digital scanning, patient education, and follow-up care. Orthodontic assistants and dental hygienists seeking a non-traditional clinical role are encouraged to apply. Experience with orthodontics, digital scanning, or specialty dentistry preferred but not required.
