Job Overview We are seeking a kind, motivated Pediatric Dentist to provide exceptional dental care to join our team for maternity leave coverage from June 26 – September 19, 2026, with the potential for a long-term associate position as our practice continues to grow. We are an 8-month-old startup pediatric dental practice located in Closter, NJ (Bergen County) built with the vision of creating a modern, prevention-focused experience that children actually look forward to. Our practice emphasizes high-quality care , strong relationships with families , and a positive team culture . Our patient base consists primarily of PPO and fee-for-service families who value quality pediatric dental care. You'll be paid as a 1099 independent contractor during this coverage. If the associate continues with the practice after the maternity leave period, compensation will transition to a percentage of adjusted production , consistent with a long-term associate compensation structure. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Requirements DMD or DDS from an accredited dental school Completion of an accredited Pediatric Dentistry residency Active New Jersey dental license New Jersey Pediatric Dentistry specialty permit --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Responsibilities Perform thorough dental examinations and assessments tailored to pediatric patients, utilizing medical and dental terminology effectively. Deliver preventive and restorative dental treatments, including but not limited to dental cleanings, sealants, fluoride applications, fillings, pulpotomies, SSC's, resin crowns, and extractions. Administer nitrous oxide is a responsible and safe manner. Utilize dental imaging tools and medical records management systems such as Open Dental and SOTA cloud to document patient care accurately. Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to ensure efficient patient flow and comfort. Educate patients and their guardians on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies. Maintain infection control standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations and best practices for medical documentation and medical records security. Review all patient charts by the start of the day and ensure that the codes for the day are accurate. Lead morning huddle. Ensure that clinical notes are accurate and completed by the end of the day.
