Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and care Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring an aseptic technique is maintained throughout procedures Take and develop high-quality X-ray images while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control standards Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Open Dental, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and records management Conduct vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient evaluations Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing patient flow seamlessly Qualifications Valid license as a Dental Assistant with certification in radiography (X-ray) procedures Proven experience in dental assisting within a clinical setting, preferably with exposure to pediatric dentistry, general dentistry practices, and orthodontics is a plus. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques Familiarity with EMR systems such as Open Dental. Ability to perform medical documentation accurately and efficiently while maintaining HIPAA compliance Competence in using 3D scanners and other advanced dental imaging technology is desirable Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a difference!
