Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Duluth, MN
Overview Dr. Gatlin has been providing dentistry in the same private practice office with compassion and integrity for 38 years. Our popular and loved hygienist will be retiring from our office on April 29th after 30 years with us. Many of our patients have become like family to her and to our team members. We provide an honest standard of care resulting in in many patients who have remained with our office for decades and over generations. Our close-knit office also includes an assistant and a receptionist. We are service based, not production based. The hygienist will have ample time to spend with each patient, and will be able to have control of their own schedule. Dr Gatlin is open to a schedule of Monday through either Wednesday or Thursday (3 or 4 days per week). The office is closed on Fridays. Parking is provided. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and current oral health status. Take and develop dental imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories. Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for all. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and HIPAA compliance. Communication, kindness, and compassion for the patient combined with needed technical skills.
