Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and ensuring aseptic techniques are maintained Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to radiation safety protocols Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and coding Monitor vital signs and medical history to ensure patient safety throughout procedures Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and assisting with comfort measures Support front desk activities by coordinating appointments with dental receptionists and managing patient flow efficiently Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic or similar platforms is a plus Ability to perform dental X-ray procedures safely and accurately while following HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Strong understanding of general dentistry procedures along with specialties like endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Knowledge of medical terminology and medical coding for accurate documentation of medical records and insurance purposes Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the dental team and provide compassionate patient care Certification in radiography or X-ray technology preferred; certification in pediatric dentistry or pediatrics experience is advantageous Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
