Schedule: Your schedule will remain the same!! where most assistants have to be off when their doctor is off, our assistants have consistent hours and consistent schedules. Leadership: We are a private office and not corporate. Your department has a department coordinator who is an EFDA herself and practices full time. She isnt a regional manager who doesn't understand you or your needs. Aren't you fed up with the corporate smoke and mirrors? This is proper dentistry with a proper office and proper systems. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow. Perform chairside assisting with proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, aseptic technique, and infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment. Take and develop X-rays and other medical imaging such as 3D scans while adhering to HIPAA regulations and radiation safety standards. Manage patient records, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding. Support the dental reception team by coordinating appointments, updating medical records, and ensuring smooth patient flow within the clinic. Maintain a clean and sterile clinical environment by following infection control guidelines and proper sterilization procedures for all equipment. Experience Proven experience working in a general dentistry, setting as a dental assistant or EFDA or currently are in an EFDA program Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing electronic health records efficiently. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards related to patient privacy and medical documentation. Hands-on experience with X-ray techniques, medical imaging including 3D scanners, and radiographic safety protocols. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques necessary for safe clinical operations. Ability to perform chairside assisting with proficiency in four-handed dentistry practices. Experience supporting specialized areas such as prosthodontics or endodontics is a plus.
