Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Reedley, CA
Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing and sterilizing instruments, passing instruments to the dentist, and suctioning saliva and debris from the patient's mouth. - Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays). - Prepare dental materials, such as composite fillings, cements, and impression materials. - Perform basic dental laboratory procedures, such as taking pouring impressions . - Provide post-operative instructions prescribed by the dentist. - Maintain accurate patient records and treatment information in the practice management system (e.g., EZ2000). - Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile working environment. Experience: - Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant Extended Function (RDAEF). - Proficient in dental assisting techniques, including four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting. - Familiarity with dental receptionist duties, such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance coverage. - Knowledge of medical imaging techniques, including taking and developing dental radiographs. - Ability to perform vital signs measurements accurately. - Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols. Skills: - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team members. - Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate recordkeeping and adherence to infection control protocols. - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and materials. - Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced dental office environment.
