Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team, which is led by a double-board certified prosthodonist. Perform comprehensive oral screenings, including cancer exams and periodontal charting. Educate patients on personalized oral hygiene techniques and the link between oral and systemic health. Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as permitted by state regulations. Take and develop high-quality digital radiographs and intraoral photos for diagnostic use. Maintain strict compliance with OSHA standards, infection control protocols, and sterilization procedures. Document detailed clinical notes and treatment plans accurately within the practice management software. Identify and promote necessary restorative or cosmetic treatments to support patient health. Stay current with the latest industry trends, technologies, and clinical research through continuing education. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a seamless patient experience and efficient office flow. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proven experience in general dentistry with additional expertise in pediatric dentistry preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Denticon for documentation review and patient records management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques.
