Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories to ensure safe treatment procedures Assist dentists during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and comfort Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft. Follow infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe clinical environment Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a dental setting Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry environments preferred Proficiency with dental terminology and documentation review processes Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft for efficient record-keeping Knowledge of infection control standards, HIPAA regulations, and aseptic techniques to protect patient safety Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and medical records management for comprehensive patient care Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with the dental team Join us in making a difference by providing top-tier dental hygiene services that improve lives one smile at a time!
