Fallon Tribal Health Center is seeking a Dental Assistant II to support dental providers in delivering high-quality oral healthcare. This position performs chair-side assisting, patient care, radiology, and clinical support duties while helping maintain efficient clinic operations. Key Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures including restorative, orthodontic, pediatric, endodontic, periodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery treatments. Prepare patients for treatment and ensure operatories, instruments, and materials are ready for procedures. Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays) and assist with dental impressions and study models. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and maintain infection control protocols. Provide patient education on oral health and pre/post-operative care. Perform clinical tasks as directed by the dentist such as placing sealants, removing sutures, and assisting with intra-oral procedures. Support clinic operations including appointment scheduling, patient records, and supply inventory management. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum two (2) years of dental assisting experience . Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification required or ability to obtain within one year. Ability to obtain CPR certification within six months . Additional Information Must pass required background checks and complete mandatory reporter training within 90 days of hire. Native American/Indian and Veteran preference may apply according to Tribal policies.
