Schedule: FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE Monday-Thursday(PICK ANY DAYS) Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Take and interpret vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess patient health status. Conduct medical imaging procedures like X-rays using digital radiography systems while ensuring proper safety protocols. Assist the dentist during various procedures through four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort. Review and update medical records and dental charts accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health habits. Maintain infection control standards by practicing aseptic techniques, sterilizing instruments, and adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Skills Proficiency with dental software platforms such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures to communicate effectively with team members and patients. Experience with pediatric dentistry and pediatrics-specific care approaches for young patients. Skilled in chairside assisting during various dental treatments with a focus on pediatric dentistry when applicable. Ability to perform patient assessment including medical history review and documentation of findings accurately. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe clinical environment. Familiarity with medical coding related to dental procedures for accurate documentation and billing processes.
