Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Scottsdale, AZ

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are a growing dental practice in Scottsdale looking for a warm, energetic, and highly organized Front Desk Receptionist to be the face of our office. You will be the very first person our patients encounter — and that first impression matters deeply to us. We're looking for someone who genuinely loves being around people, brings a positive presence every single day, and thrives in a busy, patient-centered environment. If you're the kind of person who lights up a room and gets things done, we want to hear from you.
This role comes with a competitive base salary plus a performance-based incentive structure that rewards you for helping patients stay consistent with their care — giving you a meaningful opportunity to grow your earnings well beyond your base pay.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Warmly greet every patient with a smile and create a welcoming, comfortable experience from the moment they walk through the door
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient recalls, and hygiene bookings using dental practice management software
- Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls professionally, courteously, and efficiently
- Proactively reach out to patients to confirm, reschedule, and fill appointment slots
- Assist with basic front desk administrative tasks related to patient insurance information — training provided for the right candidate
- Process patient check-ins and check-outs, collect payments, and manage daily reconciliation
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage office systems and digital workflows
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth daily scheduling and patient flow
- Multitask effectively across phone, front desk, and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Participate in training programs and embrace ongoing learning as our practice grows
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Genuinely warm, personable, and patient-focused personality — a natural people person
- Proficiency or strong familiarity with dental appointment scheduling software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or similar)
- Excellent phone etiquette with a confident, professional, and friendly communication style
- Strong computer skills and comfort navigating office management systems
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay composed under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and a true team player with a positive attitude
- Open to training, feedback, and growing with a fast-expanding practice
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE)
- Prior experience in a dental or medical office setting
- Familiarity with dental insurance — knowing how benefits, eligibility, and basic claims work is a real advantage and will set you apart
WHY JOIN US
- Competitive base pay with a performance incentive program that rewards your contribution to patient retention and appointment growth
- Supportive, team-oriented environment where your growth is encouraged
- Opportunity to grow with a practice that is actively expanding
- Training provided — we invest in the right person
- A workplace that values positivity, professionalism, and genuine patient care
