Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Alexandria, VA
Busy practice looking for an ENTRY LEVEL/ HYGIENE dental assistant to join our amazing team. Must be willing to learn, in all areas of general dentistry. Must be dependable and a team player. Must be x-ray certified Responsibilities Take and document patient dental history and updates, as well as overall health and medication history Assist dentist and hygienist by handling supplies and instruments as requested (4 handed dentistry) Prepare rooms and trays for dentist and dental hygienist with necessary instruments and supplies Clean and sterilize instruments, and prepare treatment rooms as needed Take dental radiographs Ensure appropriate supply of equipment and materials Perform patient charting as instructed by the dentist or hygienist Welcome patients and get them situated in the appropriate treatment room Learn to take impressions and pour models Must be well organized and eager to learn all aspects of the office Job Type: Part- time Salary: $18.00 to $22.00 /hour Job Type: part-time working up to full-time Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour.
