Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment to ensure efficient patient care. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including restorations, extractions and pediatric treatments. Take and develop dental X-rays utilizing digital sensors Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic to accurately document patient information, medical history, and treatment notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care. Ensure all procedures follow infection control standards and maintain a sterile environment through proper aseptic techniques and knowledge of anatomy. Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays and vital signs measurement. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is essential for success in this role.. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical documentation and patient privacy is required. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment supporting four-handed dentistry practices while maintaining high standards of care.
