Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of periodontal dental procedures, ensuring optimal patient comfort and safety Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control standards Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Curve Hero, Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding Perform vital signs measurement and monitor patient well-being throughout procedures Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments and managing patient communication Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent licensure Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy Proficiency in EMR systems such as Curve Hero, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation Familiarity with infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and sterilization processes Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards Strong understanding of periodontal dentistry practices is recommended Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and medical documentation practices related to dental care Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental assistants, hygienists, receptionists, and patients Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise makes a difference!
