Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with expertise in chairside support, patient care, and clinical procedures. As an RDA, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient experiences while supporting the clinical operations of our practice. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring proper sterilization and infection control protocols are followed. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), including 3D scans, while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance using aseptic techniques and maintaining a sterile environment to prevent cross-contamination. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures, supporting overall patient care. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current licensure. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic or similar medical documentation platforms is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques in a clinical setting. Experience with pediatric dentistry, medical imaging, X-ray procedures, and medical coding is highly desirable. Knowledge of dental assisting procedures across specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
