Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for patient care. This role involves supporting dentists during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice. Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, orthodontic, geriatric, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety standards. Manage patient medical records and documentation accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient evaluations. Provide excellent dental receptionist support by scheduling appointments, confirming patient information, and managing patient flow. Support four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and reduce procedure times. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to ensure precise communication and documentation. Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure. Proven experience in dental assisting within a general or pediatric dentistry setting. Proficiency with Open Dental for management dental records and documentation. Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures. Knowledge of dental digital radiography including intra and extra oral X-ray techniques and safety measures. Familiarity with dental terminology, dental documentation practice. Excellent communication skills combined with a professional attitude focused on patient care excellence.
