Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Renton, WA

Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, crowns, fillings, root canals. extractions, wisdom teeth extractions, implants, orthodontics. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans when applicable. Take Pano or CBCT Manage patient records using Dentrix Perform chairside assisting duties including taking vital signs, explaining procedures to patients, and providing post-treatment instructions Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing medical documentation and coding Maintain inventory of dental supplies and sterilize instruments to uphold clinic cleanliness and safety standards Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy Experience working with Dentrix, Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic technique in a clinical setting Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with pediatric patients preferred Familiarity with medical terminology, medical coding, and documentation requirements for dental records Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members such as dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly enhance patient experiences!
