About us Dr. J. Michael Wedin DDS is a general dentistry office in Sweetwater, TX. Our goal is to provide patients with the best dental care that can be offered. We're searching for a Dental Assistant to work with a team of caring professionals. This position will require the individual to have great organizational skills and be able to multi-task in professional in all aspects of employment and treating patients. The ideal candidate for this position has had previous experience with X-rays, dental imaging, charting, infection control and dental cleanings and is interested in continuing their education. It is also a plus if you are familiar with Patterson Eaglesoft dental software. Typical work hours consist of Monday through Thursday 8:30am-1:00pm 2:00pm-5:00pm. Responsibilities: Take dental x-rays. Use dental x-ray machines and dental chairs. Take dental impressions, pour up models and make dental bleaching trays, retainers etc. Assist the Dr. with dental procedures such as teeth cleaning, fillings, and extractions. Clean up after each patient in preparation for next, clean and sterilize instruments and equipment used. Keep ops/ office clean and ready for patients.
