Dental Sterilization Technician & Health Scan Coordinator Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Dental Sterilization Technician who will also be responsible for performing dental health scans. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, clean clinical environment while supporting patient care through advanced scanning technology. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and with a team. Key Responsibilities: Sterilization & Infection Control: Clean, disinfect, and sterilize all dental instruments in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines Maintain sterilization logs and ensure compliance with all infection control protocols Prepare and organize treatment rooms for patient care Monitor and restock clinical supplies and sterilization materials Ensure proper handling and disposal of biohazard materials Dental Health Scans: (Willing to train the right candidate) Perform iTero intraoral scans and/or digital dental health scans for patients Educate patients on the purpose and benefits of scans Ensure accurate capture and proper documentation of scan data Assist providers in reviewing scan results when needed Clinical Support: Assist dental team with operatory turnover between patients Maintain cleanliness and organization of sterilization and clinical areas Support front and back office team as needed Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Previous dental experience preferred but not required (willing to train the right candidate) Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols is a plus Comfortable with technology and digital scanning tools Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Bilingual required Skills & Attributes: Dependable and punctual Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong work ethic and positive attitude Willingness to learn and grow within the practice Pay: $16.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Experience: Dental office: 1 year (Preferred) Language: Spanish (Required) English (Required) Location: Clayton, NC 27527 (Preferred) Shift availability: Day Shift (Required) Work Location: In person
