Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team in a dynamic dental office in JUNE 2026! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental professionals by ensuring efficient patient care and maintaining a sterile and organized workspace. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate will assist our dental hygienist for the majority of the day; when needed they will assist the doctor. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Take and record vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in patient records. Utilize dental software such as Dentrix Ascend for scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and processing billing information. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic, including treatment rooms and waiting areas. Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay updated on the latest dental practices and technologies. Taking dental X-Rays, Coronal Polishing, Seating Patients, Reviewing Medical Histories, Sanitizing Rooms. Skills Proficient in aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment. Strong knowledge of dental terminology relevant to general dentistry practices. Experience with four-handed dentistry to assist effectively during procedures. Understanding of endodontics procedures is a plus. Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently. Proficient in using Dentrix Ascend or similar dental practice management software. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and team members. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a busy clinic setting.
