Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed in compliance with HIPAA regulations Manage patient medical records and documentation accurately within EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, including updating vital signs and medical history Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and handling dental receptionist duties to enhance patient flow Operate 3D scanners and other medical imaging equipment to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to ensure precise communication and recordkeeping Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures Proficiency with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic is a plus Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques to safeguard patient information and health standards Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in four-handed dentistry setups for increased productivity Competence in taking X-rays (radiographs), capturing high-quality images while adhering to safety protocols Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology for accurate documentation Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable; familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices preferred Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, team members, and healthcare providers Join us in delivering outstanding dental care while advancing your career in a supportive environment that values your skills and dedication.
