Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in New Bern, NC

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team on a part-time basis, working one day per week. At McCarthy Dental, our hygienists play a vital role in delivering high-quality care while creating a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. In this role, you will provide preventative and comprehensive hygiene services, perform patient assessments, take radiographs, and educate patients on oral health and home care. You will work closely with our doctors and clinical team to support overall patient care and ensure each visit is efficient and thorough. This position is ideal for a licensed hygienist looking for a consistent, set weekly schedule with a supportive team environment, with potential for additional hours based on practice needs. Candidates must be a Registered Dental Hygienist with an active state license. A minimum of two years of clinical experience is highly preferred. Qualifications Associateâs Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree preferred. Current North Carolina state Dental Hygienist licensure. At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines. Able to stand for extended periods and bend repeatedly. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Familiarity in Guided Biofilm Therapy. Team player who thrives in a supportive, fast-paced setting.
