Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Shorewood, WI

Being a dental assistant at our office requires multitasking, communication and high quality patient care. Additional duties are as follows: seating patients in the treatment area passing requested instruments to the dentist during dental procedures sterilization and preparation of instruments taking impressions of teeth for study models, digital scans of the dentition for various reasons polishing clinical crowns exposing and developing X-rays digitally providing assistance in the office with tasks such as appointment scheduling, record keeping, telephone management, and billing manage patient records, filing, and recall systems assist the dentist directly at chairside with operative, oral surgery, orthodontic, and a wide range of other procedures take x-rays, impressions, and apply fluoride and sealants for hygienists as needed assist with patient management by working with a wide range of population groups perform laboratory functions such as pouring & trimming models, constructing custom trays and fabricating temporary crowns and bridges, use and knowledge of 3d printer a plus assist with implementation and documentation of current infection control standards Qualifications Proficient in chairside assisting and knowledgeable in dental terminology and anatomy Experience with 3D scanners and general dentistry practices Familiarity with aseptic techniques and various dental specialties, including prosthodontics and endodontics Skilled in using EMR systems like Dentrix and Eaglesoft, with a strong understanding of HIPAA regulations Ability to perform X-rays and manage pediatric dentistry tasks, along with vital signs monitoring Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) matching Employee discount Paid time off Ability to Commute: Shorewood, WI 53211 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Shorewood, WI 53211: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
