Assist dentists during procedures by preparing instruments, taking X-rays, and maintaining sterilization protocols. Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and manage the clinic calendar using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and handle billing using medical coding standards including CPT, ICD-10, and ICD-9 codes. Maintain accurate dental records and review documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, provide excellent customer service, and address patient inquiries promptly. Support office management tasks such as filing dental records, managing medical supplies, and ensuring a clean clinical environment. Requirements Proven experience in dental office settings or clinics with strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures. Familiarity with EHR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms; experience with Meditech or Epic is a plus. Knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9), insurance verification, and medical administrative support. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; typing skills including 10-key typing are essential. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and health information management practices. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Exceptional patient service skills with professional phone etiquette and clerical experience at the front desk. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is advantageous.
