Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including dental and medical history reviews, to develop personalized orthodontic treatment plans Perform orthodontic procedures such as placement of braces, aligners, retainers, and other corrective appliances Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists to ensure smooth workflow and optimal patient care using four-handed dentistry techniques Monitor patient progress regularly through clinical examinations and adjust treatment plans as necessary Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental office standards Educate patients on oral health practices related to orthodontic care and post-treatment maintenance Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed during all procedures, including aseptic techniques and sterilization processes Qualifications Valid state license to practice as an Orthodontist with board certification or eligibility in orthodontics Proven experience in general dentistry with additional specialization or training in orthodontics; experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for managing patient records and treatment documentation Strong knowledge of dental terminology, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and anatomy relevant to orthodontic procedures Skilled in medical imaging techniques used for diagnosis and treatment planning Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs thoroughly and communicate effectively Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques within a dental clinic setting Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental fabrication, and other related procedures as needed This role is ideal for motivated professionals eager to make a meaningful impact on patientsâ lives through expert orthodontic care.
