Licensed Orthodontic Dental Assistant Dental Kidds – Blaine & Coon Rapids, MN Dental Kidds is looking for a Licensed Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our growing pediatric orthodontic team serving patients at our Blaine and Coon Rapids clinics . Schedule Clinic shifts Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM One Saturday per month: 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist with orthodontic procedures and patient care Prepare treatment rooms and orthodontic instruments Take dental impressions, digital scans, and radiographs as needed Educate patients and parents about orthodontic care and oral hygiene Maintain accurate patient records and charting Ensure patients feel comfortable and supported during visits Follow sterilization and infection control protocols Qualifications Current Minnesota Licensed Orthodontic Dental Assistant certification Experience in orthodontics or pediatric dentistry preferred Strong communication skills with both children and parents Friendly, professional, and patient-focused attitude Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment Reliable and team-oriented Why Join Dental Kidds? Compensation: $30 - $35 hourly Responsibilities: Assist orthodontists during orthodontic procedures, including placing and removing orthodontic brackets, archwires, and bands Take accurate scans/impressions of the patient's teeth for the creation of orthodontic appliances Prepare and sterilize orthodontic instruments and equipment Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide instructions for appliance care Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment charts, progress notes, and digital imaging Provide exceptional customer service and ensure patient comfort and satisfaction Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment Keep up-to-date with the latest orthodontic techniques and procedures through continuing education Qualifications: An Associate’s Degree or a certification from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required Must possess a current state license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) Previous experience working as an orthodontic assistant is highly desirable Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and materials Proficiency in taking dental impressions and X-rays Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work well in a team environment Attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality patient care Basic computer skills and knowledge of dental software About Company Philosophy We provide the highest standard of personalized patient care while having fun, creating an inviting atmosphere, and building a lifetime of confidence and healthy dental habits.
