The Role We're looking for a skilled and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to become a core part of our clinical team. This is a full-time, in-person position with a stable and predictable schedule — no Fridays, no weekends. Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 32 hours/week Pay: $21.00 – $27.00/hour DOE — skilled assistants are placed at the top of our range Benefits: Paid time off + paid holidays (after probationary period) What You'll Do Assist chair-side with a wide range of dental procedures Take X-rays, dental impressions, photos, and digital scans Perform teeth whitening treatments Conduct initial mouth screenings and review oral health history Sterilize instruments and set up/break down operatories Educate patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene Maintain accurate patient documentation and electronic health records Check and update lab cases; monitor and manage supply inventory Ensure every patient feels comfortable and well cared for from arrival to discharge What We're Looking For Florida DA license required X-ray certification required Minimum 1 year of chair-side assisting experience CDA/RDA license a plus Strong knowledge of HIPAA and dental health & safety regulations Proficient with dental software and electronic patient records Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient-centered approach Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to keep pace in a busy clinical setting Why Join Lake Eola Dental?
