Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our mulit-dentist dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills to assist in various dental procedures while maintaining a clean and organized environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring efficient workflow through dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, adhering to strict infection control protocols. Take dental X-rays while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and treatment options. Manage inventory of dental supplies and materials, placing orders as necessary. Support the front office with scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries when needed. Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, endodontics, pediatrics, and medical coding to enhance patient care. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred. Knowledge of infection control practices and dental terminology is essential. Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous. Experience with X-ray technology is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are crucial for maintaining accurate records and managing supplies. Previous experience in endodontics or pediatrics is a plus but not required.
