Solon Family Dentists is a successful private dental practice in Solon, OH. Successful, established private. We allot adequate appointment time for our Dental Hygienists to provide the highest quality of care and to build personal relationships with our patients. We never want our hygienists or patients to feel rushed. We moved into a new state of the art facility in 2020. All hygiene operatories are equipped with cavitron machines, dual monitors and intraoral cameras. We have a Planmeca 2-D & 3-D imaging machine, a handheld “nomad” unit as well as an Itero Scanner. We are paperless, use electronic health records and Dentrix office management software. We utilize a professional instrument sharpening program for your instruments. We are seeking a full-time or part-time dental hygienist who is highly skilled, friendly, self-motivated, and passionate about providing high-quality care to patients. Responsibilities: Updating Patient's Health History & Blood Pressure reading Update patient chart to reflect current dental history Updating Radiographs, Intraoral Images and Itero Scans as needed Screening the periodontal health of your patient, including probe depths, recession, mobility. Chart any progress/decline and advise patients Assessing caries risk and providing preventive recommendations Performing oral cancer screenings Identifying failing restorations, decay, or open contacts Educating patients on proper oral hygiene Identifying malocclusion and educating patients about the potential impact on dental health Providing dental prophylaxis and periodontal treatments Applying fluoride treatments and placing dental sealants Work closely with the dental team to create personalized treatment Schedule patients for future continuing care appointments When available, assist in the cleanup and setup of treatment rooms Requirements: Active Ohio Dental Hygiene License Certification for unsupervised hygiene Current CPR Strong interpersonal and communication skills iTero and Dentrix experience are a plus but not required!
