Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Woodbridge, VA

We are a thriving, high-performance dental practice looking for a rock star Dental Assistant / Front Desk Assistant professional to join our team! The person in this role will answer incoming calls, conduct consultations, build rapport, and establish a genuine connection quickly. The candidate chosen for this position will represent our commitment to exceptional patient care and service. Key Responsibilities *Clinical (Dental Assistant Duties): Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures *Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms *Take dental X-rays (as permitted by state regulations) *Ensure proper infection control protocols are followed *Prepare patients for treatment and provide post-operative instructions *Maintain accurate patient records and clinical notes *Support inventory management and ordering of dental supplies Front Desk (Administrative Duties): *Greet and check in/check out patients in a friendly and professional manner *Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the daily schedule *Verify insurance and collect co-pays and payments *Maintain patient records and update personal/insurance information *Handle billing inquiries and assist with basic insurance processing *Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area *Dental assistant training is REQUIRED. Key Responsibilities: Friendly and prepared Keep Recare appointments at 80% Answer phone calls as needed and answer questions from patients and other healthcare professionals Manage patient records, including documentation of the appointment, calls, and entering clinical data into the system Explain treatment and post op care Be prepared and help the Dentist have a productive day Make sure appointments are efficient and smooth Keep clinical operations organized and follow protocols.
