Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team working Fridays. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to general dentistry needs. Review documentation for accuracy, update medical coding as necessary, and ensure all records are complete before patient discharge. Support infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments, managing dental supplies, and maintaining a clean clinical environment in accordance with OSHA standards. Experience Previous experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental clinic or office setting is required. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices is essential. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and proper documentation review ensures compliance with privacy standards.
