Dental Assistant (1 year preferred) - Keystone Dental Center - Scranton, PA

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental care and a passion for providing exceptional patient experiences. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our dental professionals and contributing to the overall success of our practice. Duties: - Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care, including preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing equipment - Monitor patient vital signs and provide medical documentation as necessary - Operate 3D scanners and other advanced technology to support dental procedures - Utilize medical imaging and medical records to facilitate patient care - Maintain accurate and organized medical records - Provide exceptional customer service to patients and support the front desk as needed - Participate in four-handed dentistry to enhance patient comfort and efficiency - Assist with the setup and removal of dental equipment and instruments - Develop a strong understanding of dental clinic operations and contribute to the overall smooth running of the practice - Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental technology and procedures Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent required - Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent experience - Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix - Strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with medical documentation - Familiarity with medical records and the ability to maintain accurate records - Experience with 3D scanning technology is preferred - Prosthodontics experience is a plus - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities - Certification as a dental assistant (CDA) is desirable - A positive and patient-centered attitude is essential for success in this role.
