Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for procedures. Assist dentists during various treatments including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix ensuring all medical documentation is complete and compliant. Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, and monitoring vital signs to ensure patient safety throughout procedures. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care to promote ongoing dental wellness. Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to uphold the highest safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology. Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques within a dental clinic setting. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while following safety guidelines. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with children is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills as a Dental Receptionist or in patient-facing roles are a plus. Certification in dental assisting or equivalent training; additional certifications in medical coding or pediatrics are advantageous.
