Dental Assistant (Part time- Bilingual Mandarin or Spanish) - Garfield Health Center - Monterey Park, CA

We are looking for a competent dental assistant who will make the dentist office more efficient and pleasant for patients. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic. You will be expected to accomplish tasks independently while working as part of a team. DA front and back office duties include but are not limited to: Ensure that OSHA and CDC guidelines are followed when cleaning/sterilizing instruments and workstations. Prepare all necessary trays for dental procedures. Take and develop X-rays. Assist dentists during dental procedure in an efficient and professional manner. Explain post-op instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner. Schedule and confirm appointments Check in appointments upon patient's arrival Answer and make phone calls Verify insurance, collect copay, submit prior authorizations Qualifications Certified Dental Assistant with X-ray License. Working knowledge and experience in all phases of dental procedures. Demonstrated ability with 4-handed dentistry. Bilingual Chinese or Bilingual Spanish (Required) Familiar with digital radiography (Preferred) Job Type: Part time (24-32 hours per week, 8 hours per day) Schedule: Working on Saturdays may be required.
