Part-Time EFDA – Comfort Dental | Tacoma, WA Comfort Dental West Tacoma 2501 N Pearl St, Tacoma, WA 98406 Comfort Dental – Tacoma is seeking a part-time Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) to join our friendly and patient-focused dental team. Schedule Tuesdays & Wednesdays 10–12 hour shifts Compensation $38–$43 per hour, depending on experience Role & Responsibilities Perform EFDA duties in accordance with Washington State regulations Place and finish restorations following dentist preparation Assist the dentist during procedures as needed Take digital X-rays and impressions Ensure proper infection control and sterilization protocols Provide excellent patient care and education Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Support a smooth, efficient clinical workflow Qualifications Current Washington State EFDA license Active CPR/BLS certification Strong clinical skills and attention to detail Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset Excellent communication and patient care skills Why Comfort Dental – West Tacoma Supportive, team-based work environment Consistent part-time schedule with longer clinical days Modern dental setting focused on efficiency and patient comfort Welcoming culture where teamwork and quality care come first GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: At least one year of hands-on experience assisting with dentures and/or implants Experience in taking impressions for dentures preferred Moderate physical activity Ability to sit, stand, bend and stoop for periods of time Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally Work is performed in an interior dental/clinical environment Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which requires following basic safety precautions Experience in oral surgery and taking prosthetics. #ADIAux About Affordable Care Founded in 1975, today Affordable Care, LLC is America’s largest dental support organization (DSO) focused on tooth replacement services, serving more than 400 dental practices across the United States.
